The Colorado offense (#28) is pretty good and they certainly put up some points on WSU, but the WSU offense didn't help matters against the tough Colorado defense. Colorado had pretty good field position all game, even the special teams made some plays. They should be sitting pretty most of the game against Utah where they'll have a short field to work with. They just need to keep their QB's from taking too many hits in this game.

Colorado is nigh on excellent at Drive Efficiency and they are very good at Play Efficiency. The Buffs are consistent and they put up points when they have the chance. They also get a good push off the ball and put up a good yards per play. The Buffs are also good on 3rd down and on D-plus Plays.

Colorado is pretty average at Explosive Drives and Negative Drives. They don't put up a lot of big plays and they go 3 and out more often than a top notch offense would. Colorado is going to have to clean that up in this game. Their special teams are not good enough to move the field position needle on their own.

Utah's defense (#42) isn't really as good as people think it is when you look at points or yards /game type metrics. Utah's mind-numbing (though improving) offense and very good special teams make sure the Utes face fewer possessions and leave opponents with a lot of ground to cover to get to pay dirt. The Utes struggles with Oregon last week and unless their special teams make some plays, they are going to have a really tough time this week against a good, but not great Colorado offense.

Utah isn't really great at anything, but they are good Negative Drives, Explosive Drives, and Play Efficiency. They give up less yards than they do points relatively. They are also pretty good at 3rd down and D-plus Plays.

Utah is mediocre at Drive Efficiency. They do struggle to get off the field more than you would expect given their relative stinginess at giving up yards.
