The Oregon State offense (#50) has managed to climb into the ranks of FBS middling offenses and that is a good thing. They played really well against a very very bad Arizona defense last week and that is all you can expect of them. They also have played a really tough slate of defenses before that so it isn't like they are skating by on a bad schedule. Oregon is going to be another lightweight defense and the Beavers need to put up points for their offense and their defense's field position; which is how you beat 2016 Oregon.

Oregon State is darn near excellent at Play Efficiency. They do put up a decent amount of yards per play controlling for everything the model does. They are also pretty good on 3rd down and at D-plus Plays when you control for their SOS.

Oregon State is very bad at Drive Efficiency, Explosive Drives, and Negative Drives. They don't put up a lot of points for the yards they put up, they lack consistency, and they do go 3 and out pretty often. They really need to try to be more explosive in this game and against Oregon. Plenty of teams have put up big plays on those defenses.

Oregon's defense (#111) is really bad, but they managed to slow down an OK Utah offense enough to let their offense do some big things against the Utah defense. If they can slow down Oregon State enough to keep their offense from getting buried deep on their end of the field they can give the team a shot to win.

Oregon is ok on 3rd down.

Oregon is really bad at Drive Efficiency, Play Efficiency, Explosive Drives, Negative Drives, and D-plus Plays. There just isn't much to hang your hat on here.
