The Washington offense (#3) has been really great all season and they haven't let up. They shellacked a really bad Cal defense last week after a less than stellar performance against Utah where they were bailed out by their special teams. USC is a decent challenge for the Huskies offense. USC has a good defense and good special teams and that put the Huskies in trouble in Salt Lake.

Washington isn't 2015 Stanford, but they are excellent at Play Efficiency, Explosive Drives, Negative Drives and they are very very good at Drive Efficiency; which they have been improving on. Washington's offense really puts up points on explosive plays, but they have been getting more consistent of late in putting together longer drives where they don't just blow past the defense.

Washington isn't great on 3rd down or at D-plus Plays when you control for their SOS, which is pretty terrible.

USC's defense (#22) has played pretty well the last two weeks against two of the best offenses in the Pac-12. If will be pretty tough to keep Washington to 20-ish points though given they they are about .5 points per possession better than the Ducks when you are controlling for things like field position. When you factor in the Huskies D and special teams getting them the ball in good places then Washington is a serious challenge.

USC is very good at per play metrics. They are excellent at containing Explosive Drives and that will be a key against the Huskies. They are also very good at Play Efficiency and Negative Drives. This team keeps YPP down and forces a lot of 3 and outs. They are pretty good on 3rd down too.

USC is pretty average at Drive Efficiency. They lack consistency and part of that is their D-line play. That also plays into their lackluster D-plus Plays score. They will need to find a way to get pressure on Browning without getting burned. Their corners are certainly good enough to blitz with some regularity to get to the QB.
