The Colorado offense (#29) is pretty good, but they didn't exactly put it on Arizona in the ruthless way Washington State did two weeks ago. I certainly think the game could have been worse for Arizona if CU had pushed it more on offense, Arizona was pretty hapless in the game on defense. Colorado has struggled against good defenses in conference play. They did play really well in a loss at Michigan, but since then they have relied more on their defense against UCLA and Stanford. WSU is a very good defense; the Buffs are going to have to be able to put up some points even if their defense plays well because Wazzu's offense isn't Stanford or UCLA.

Colorado is nigh on excellent at Drive Efficiency and they are very good at Play Efficiency. The Buffs are consistent and they put up points when they have the chance. They also get a good push off the ball and put up a good yards per play. The Buffs are also good on 3rd down and on D-plus Plays.

Colorado is pretty average at Explosive Drives and Negative Drives. They don't put up a lot of big plays and they go 3 and out more often than a top notch offense would. Colorado is going to have to clean that up in this game. Their special teams are not good enough to move the field position needle on their own.

WSU's defense (#16) is really good. They knocked around an Arizona squad that isn't very dangerous without Dawkins at full health and in the game and they put the lid on a pretty good Cal offense last week. Colorado isn't as dangerous as Cal, but Colorado is also likely to have far better field position than the Bears did last week. Grinch and company are going to have to buckle down and stop the run and not let the Buffs connect on passes out to the perimeter.

Washington State is excellent at Drive Efficiency, good at Negative Drives, and fine at Explosive Drives. The Cougs excel at finding ways to get off the field, even when they give up some yards. Their offense is so good that they usually have plenty of field behind them to work with. They are good on 3rd down and at D-plus Plays.

Wazzu is really average at Play Efficiency. They do give up some yards. It hasn't come back to haunt them since the early season, but they have to be careful against an efficient Colorado team.
