The Washington State offense (#10) is having a very good year so far. They played pretty well against an incredibly stout UCLA defense. Washington State fans have spent some time this week celebrating the win, but feeling like the offense didn't have their best game, which is what happens when you play a top 10 defense. The bright side is that they still put up 27.

WSU is excellent at Drive Efficiency. They maintained their consistency ranking even after playing UCLA which says something. They are also very very good at Negative Drives. This offense doesn't go 3 and out and they keep drives going. They are good at Play Efficiency and Explosive Drives, but not exactly anywhere in the vicinity of great at them, which can also be said about their work on 3rd down.

WSU isn't great at preventing D-plus Plays when you weight by their Strength of Schedule.

Arizona State's defense (#58) is looking more like a conventional Todd Graham defense, but worse. They got blown off the ball all game by Colorado. They are connecting more often on their blitz's, but that is about all they are doing at this point. The bright side if you are an ASU fan, is that they haven't dropped into the abysmal range that houses about a quarter of the Pac-12.

ASU is very very good at Negative Drives. They connect well on D-plus Plays and are pretty good on 3rd down when you weight by Strength of Schedule.

ASU is really struggling on Drive Efficiency, Play Efficiency, and Explosive Drives. They are getting beat off the ball, they lack consistency, and when you don't connect on blitzes you run the risk of getting burned. ASU is high risk and high reward and has been since Graham rolled into town.
