The Washington State offense (#8) proved that when push comes to shove, they still know how to win by throwing the football last week at ASU. ASU stymied the Cougs rushing attack and put the Cougs on their heels for more of the game than I think anyone outside of the rosiest Sun Devil fan expected, but that is more on the WSU defense than the offense. Washington State has played a decent, but not great bunch of defenses.
Washington State is phenomenal at Drive Efficiency, they are very very good at Negative Drives, and only pretty good at Explosive Drives. This WSU offense looks a lot like a high tempo version of the West Coast when Roger Craig had some of his good years, though perhaps a bit more run heavy.
Washington State isn't very good at Play Efficiency. They also don't knock it out of the park on 3rd down or at preventing D-plus Plays. WSU isn't getting their points in hammering you just between the tackles and on short passing.

Oregon State's defense (#50) gave up 41 to Washington, but that isn't anything to be ashamed of given how Washington is piling up points on people these days. In fact the Oregon State defense is actually far closer to the top part of the conferences defenses than the bottom. OSU actually looks like they are growing and getting better this year, especially on D.
OSU is mostly great on the per play metrics. The Beavers are very very good at Play Efficiency and Explosive Drives, and they are decent on Negative Drives and pretty good on 3rd down. This defense plays pretty well at times.
