The Oregon offense (#13) is very good, they had a tough time against USC, but Oregon's offense tends to look bad on paper against teams with good offenses and good special teams. Oregon's defense is so bad that the Ducks are usually starting every drive off a kickoff. Stanford is going to be a serious challenge for Oregon, but they played pretty well against Colorado's offense early in the year and Colorado has turned out to be lights out on defense.

Oregon is excellent at Explosive Drives and Negative Drives and they are pretty good at Play Efficiency. They are only on the sunnyside of average at Drive Efficiency. This Oregon offense is built around not going 3 and out and lots of big plays, but they could be more consistent. Oregon is also very good on 3rd down and at D-plus Plays.

Stanford's defense (#8) is really turning it on late in the season. If they had been this good last year, when Stanford's offense was best in the land, Stanford would have been your National Champion and it wouldn't have been close. Stanford has played really well since their unfortunate games against the Washington schools and they will have their hands full in this game with the Ducks who aren't as good as the Cardinal on special teams, but are pretty good none the less.

Stanford is really excellent at Play Efficiency, Explosive Drives, and Negative Drives. They are also very good at Drive Efficiency, 3rd down, and D-plus Plays. This defense is really rolling. They tackle well, get to the QB, and are consistent. They don't give up big plays and they make you work for it across the entire field.
