The Washington State offense (#5) is really good, but like their defense, they sure didn't blow anybody out of the water in the middle swing of the season. The trounced an Arizona that is in the running to be the worst Power 5 team in America this year. Washington State needs to stay sharp because they finish with a tough swing against Colorado and Washington where they will have a chance to totally change  the Pac-12 narrative for the year.

Wazzu is phenomenal at Drive Efficiency. Luke Falk and his receiever run this offense with an amazing consistency and execution. WSU has been more effective at running the ball this season too. Washington State is also really really good at Explosive Drives and Negative Drives. They can put up points in a hurry and they don't do many 3 and outs. The Cougs are pretty average at Play Efficiency, suggesting they do run a fair amount of plays that don't gain a ton of yards. They are also middle of the road at D-plus Plays and 3rd down when you control for SOS.

Cal's defense (#106) is really bad. They gave up a lot of points to USC and to Washington in the last two weeks and they didn't help their offense out much at all in giving them decent field position. Cal has some games they could be competitive in coming up against their bizzaro offensive/defensive nemeses in Stanford and UCLA, but this WSU team is too balanced. The defense is going to have a tough time.

Cal is ok on 3rd down.

Cal is really bad at Drive Efficiency, Play Efficiency, Explosive Drives, Negative Drives, and D-plus Plays. There just isn't much to hang your hat on here.
