The Arizona State offense (#73) is having a bad rebuild, especially when you consider the athletes they have. Sure they have had some QB injuries, but no worse than some other teams in the conference. Their offensive line just hasn't been good, some of it is growth, but they have two seniors on this line who'll they'll have to replace next year. So you hope the guys they bring on as replacements next year gel well with the three holdovers who have grown a bit. I really would like ASU to not do good things, but this assemblage of skill position talent could be really special if they put it together.

ASU is pretty good at Drive Efficiency. They do find ways to put up more points than you would expect given how many yards per play they are putting up.

ASU is just bad at Play Efficiency, Explosive Drives, and Negative Drives. Given how many athletes they have their Explosive Drives rating is pretty embarrassing. They go backward pretty often and they also go 3 and out frequently. They aren't that good on 3rd down or D-plus Plays. This offense is going to need to play totally mistake free football against the Huskies.

Washington's defense (#12) had a tough outing against the Trojans. They didn't get much in the way of help from their offense though, who left them with some tough field position. The Huskies have been playing better as the season has matured and they still control their destiny as far as the playoff and Pac-12 title go. Win the next two and they are in. It is important for perception that they handle ASU though, which the defense should be able to do given their pass rush and the ASU offensive line issues.

Washington is excellent at Play Efficiency, Explosive Drives, and Negative Drives. They are also pretty good on 3rd down. This defense is great on per play metrics. They don't make you work for your yards per play, they don't give up a lot of big plays, and they force a lot of 3 and outs. They are only OK on Drive Efficiency, which means they could be more consistent.

Washington isn't great at D-plus Plays, they aren't forcing a ton of turnovers and that could make a big difference of them.
