The UCLA offense (#65) didn't look so good last week against USC. They have looked marginally more dangerous since they opened up the playbook, but they have really been one of the most unlucky teams in America and the injuries on offense haven't helped. Mostly the problem is that the O-line hasn't gelled though. All that won't matter since more often than not they should end up with a short field against a bad defense this week against Cal.

UCLA is OK at Explosive Drives and Negative Drives. They are also OK at 3rd down and D-plus Plays. This offense does avoid 3 and outs at an OK clip and they do put up some big plays.

UCLA is pretty bad at Play Efficiency and they are terrible at Drive Efficiency. This offense isn't getting many yards off the line of scrimmage per play and they are stalling a lot of drives even with that.

Cal's defense (#118) is really bad. They made Stanford's offense look pretty good, even given the short field the Cardinal had most of the game. Sadly for Cal they basically get a bad Stanford knockoff this week, with a slightly worse defense and a much worse head coach. It'll be tough for the Bears though with the short field that their offense is going to leave them to defend after they have to face the UCLA defense.

Cal is ok on 3rd down.

Cal is really bad at Drive Efficiency, Play Efficiency, Explosive Drives, Negative Drives, and D-plus Plays. There just isn't much to hang your hat on here.
